It's True; It's Everything

This conversational style,
It's hard to get used to.
I'm sitting on the edge
of the tub
smoking, drinking a cheap
Belgian white,
writing about what I'm doing.
It's hardly poetic,
as I'm hardly poetic,
but it's all I can do
to keep writing,
but I do
and that's something.

That's everything.

This season is becoming
unpredictable in a completely
and mind-numbingly predictable
way, but that's outside.

In here, it's business as
usual, writing this trite,
uninteresting crap, calling it
progress, calling myself
interesting.
