Your glass is sitting there
waiting for another drink to be poured
I should move it to the kitchen sink
waiting for the next load of the dishwasher

Your cup is full of ants
waiting for another pot to be brewed
I should have moved it from the kitchen sink
topping off the next load of the dishwasher

It's sad to say it's not going to happen
Our time was long, but now you're gone
and I don't want to clean up

I hate to say it's not going to happen
