An impromptu appearance mod project... Adding parking lights to the wasted space inside the fog lamp.

Starting this project, I pulled both fog lamps out, leaving these creepy looking empty eye sockets...

The screws that hold the bottom panel on each lamp are all rusted and corroded, frozen in place. I soaked them in WD40 over night, but only got 3 of the 6 loose.

This is after a mild scrub & polish of each of them... I hate having yellowed plastic headlamp lenses. It didn't make a whole lot of difference, but I didn't feel like taking that whole task on today.

It's kind of hard to see from the picture, but around the base of the socket is a flexible rubber ring. Inside of that are four raised bumps (hence, a plus sign)

This weekend: Replace the oxygen sensors... It takes a little bit of work (replacing the factory four-wire sensors with universal one-wire sensors) but it will be worth it ($17 each instead of $125 each)

One of my next projects... Try and find a replacement for this broken door handle. It's got a nice little jagged edge that likes to pinch or cut me when I close the door.
